Reducing Filtration Challenges with the Right Filter Mesh - MAISHI

In industrial filtration, a filter mesh must do more than separate particles. It needs to maintain suitable flow, withstand operating conditions and support consistent performance throughout the filtration process. An unsuitable mesh can lead to frequent cleaning, restricted flow or premature replacement, increasing maintenance demands and operating costs.

In a different application, an industrial filter processing a corrosive liquid may benefit from SS316 stainless steel mesh, provided the material is compatible with the actual chemical and operating conditions. For other liquid separation processes, polyester or nylon mesh may offer a suitable alternative where flexibility and consistent openings are priorities.

Before selecting filter mesh, consider the target particle size, liquid viscosity, solids concentration, operating temperature, pressure and cleaning method. These factors help determine the appropriate material, opening size and mesh structure. Testing under actual operating conditions can further confirm whether the selected mesh meets the required filtration and maintenance objectives.
