"Mesh count" represents the number of threads with per inch or cm.conversion method as below:

Mesh per inch=25.4÷(d+w)

Mesh per cm=10÷(d+w)

(For "d" and "w",please refer to the drawing in the right)

Example:
For 43T-80,wire diameter is 0.08mm, mesh opening is 0.15mm,what's its mesh count?

① Mesh per inch=25.4÷(0.08+0.15)=110 mesh per inch

② Mesh per cm=10÷(d+w)=43 mesh per cm

Opening area is calculated from the mesh opening and wire diameter. Calculation method as below:

Opening area(%)=w²÷(w+d)²

Example:

For 43T-80, wire diameter is 0.08mm, mesh opening is 0.15mm,

what's its opening area?

Opening area(%)=0.15*0.15÷(0.15+0.08)²*100%=42.5%
